Hello Winter Bath Mat

I am happy to introduce you my last seasonal bath mat! My plan was to release this pattern last month, but I couldn’t do it due to my bad time management. I was working this pattern Saturday Sweater (pattern by Moogly) for a friend of mine simultaneously. There was another special project I was also working at the same time for someone that so many of us crocheters know, and that took longer than I expected. (I will reveal this big secret once the pattern will be releasing!)

When you hear a word “winter” what comes to your mind? Is it Christmas, New Year’s Day and other winter holidays? Is it certain items? For me, it is definitely snow. Ever since I moved to Chicago, winter season is pretty tough with snow and very cold temperature.

I loved making snowman when I was a child. I don’t remember making huge ones because it didn’t snow that deep or it wasn’t sticky snow, but it was fun making them. Have you made snowman? What do you like to put for accessorize it? There are so many ideas on what to make each body parts out of. I remember it was pretty shocking when I saw a snowman with carrot nose! I think I saw it on American movie or something, because I never seen carrot nose while growing up.

Choosing which color for this bath mat was little challenging. I wanted to use a color that was offered in local store so that it was easily accessible to get it. Another point on choosing a color was whether to go with white background which is used throughout all other 3 bath mats or go with dark blue so that snowflakes will pop out more. I was going back and forth with this idea, and I decided to go with white background just like all the other bath mats so they all tie together. I’m glad I made it with white because looking through all 4 seasonal bath mats now, I love how they all look cohesive!

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do! Here’s the free pattern for Hello Winter Bath Mat! (You can purchase ad free PDF at my Etsy shop  HERE and at Lovecrochet HERE!)
