Mixed Star Bracelet

Another bracelet design I was thinking for 4th of July! (Please check out Patriotic Star Bracelet for 1st design)I wanted to make vertical version as well, but mixed color this time. Which one do you like?

Materials:

• 1 strand each of red, white, and blue embroidery floss
• 0.75 inch Ribbon end clamps
• US D/3.25mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Plier
• Jump rings to make it adjustable (optional)

Notes:

• Size – about 5.5in/14cm long without clamps (CH 38 makes about 6.5in/16.5cm)
• This pattern requires to crochet 3 strands together.
• Number in [ ] indicates number of stitches in each row.

Abbreviations:

• CH – chain stitch
• HDC – half double crochet
• SC – single crochet
• SL ST – stitch
• YOH – yarn over hook

Instructions:

CH 32
Row 1 – SC in 2nd CH from hook. SC across. [31]

Row 2 – Turn. CH 3. Insert hook in 2nd CH from hook and draw up a loop. Insert hook and draw up a loop in next 4 STs (you should have 6 loops on your hook now). YOH and draw through all 6 loops. CH 1. This CH 1 is going to be the “eye” of each star stitch. This is your 1st Star stitch.

For following Star Stitches: Insert hook in the “eye” and draw up a loop (there should be 2 loops on hook now). Insert hook in the side of spike from last Star stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook in the same ST as last loop/spike you made in previous Star stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook and draw up a loop in next 2 CHs (you should have 6 loops on your hook). YOH and draw through all 6 loops. CH 1.



Repeat Star Stitch across. HDC in last CH.

Row 3 – CH 1. Turn. SC across. [31]

Row 4 – CH 1. Turn. SL ST across. [31]

Fasten off.
Weave in ends.

Add clamps to both ends.
